Filmstrip Baby Quilt

It's a little tough to see the colors, but the dark square and dark borders that you see are actually dark purple and dark green. This is the best picture I could get with my cell phone. :) I finished the top and decided to piece the backing because I don't have enough fabric to make it all one piece. The backing will be the fabric that is inside the top row. It's pretty little purple flowers. Very sweet. Most of the fabrics are flannels. There are some brushed cottons that I coupled with the flannel because I really liked the color combination.

It's a Christmas gift for the baby that my daughter nannys for. She helped with fabric selection and pattern. I'll post the finished product soon. It might even be as soon as tomorrow.....barring any ADD tendancies to hop on another project!!! ;)

There is a great tutorial for this quilt over at CrazyMomQuilts and she has better pictures too. Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous Monday!

ps Cornerstone doesn't meet this month. I know you said you probably couldn't make it but I wanted to let you know just it case you tried to stop by. January's the next meeting. Maybe I'll see you then!!

  2. Love you mum, thanks for putting this together Ava and I are going to love snuggling before her snoozles with it ... snoozle is another word for nap; it's shorter than a nap but longer than a snooze... AKA trick the baby into laying down :)
Anyway - thanks again, and i am loving the quilt!
