I think my camera skills are slowly improving. But I'll let you be the judge. By the way this dresden plate matches my newly made kitchen curtains below. I'm really on a roll these days. The flowers are to me from me. :)
These muffins actually look good enough to eat. hehehehe
Here's where the fiber comes in. Apple Cinnamon is my favorite; but only when I'm not eating banana nut. :)
I made enough for my ladies bible study group. I like to share the yummy goodness.
Ok, back to my dresden plates (table runner without the running. I have a round table)
This green in the center circle is the color of my kitchen now. It's very soothing and refreshing for that matter.
The backing is just felted wool. You can also use plain old felt which is less expensive. I stitch the edging blanket stitch and then trim the edges last.
Close up of the sections outlined with a verigated thread. I'm enamored with these fabrics and plan to make a Grandmother's Fan quilt soon with these very same fabrics.
My new curtains! So exciting to give the kitchen a fresh new look.
I've had this eyelet lace since forever ago when I used to make dresses for my girls. It was just waiting for the right project. So glad to have a home for it where I can enjoy it every day. Gotta love a well stocked stash!
Very sweet floweral pattern. Even better, I had the fabric in my stash too. So no money spent! Well, recently spent money that is.
Another great day in the sewing neighborhood for sure. Thanks so much for stopping by. More to come............can't wait to see you tomorrow! OOOPS almost forgot to link to AmyLouWho's Sew and Tell. Be sure to stop by and see all the treasures completed this week!!
Such a pretty Dresden plate table round! Nice job with the variegated thread on the wool felting. It does go well with your eyelet lace curtains.
ReplyDeleteLove the Dresden plate table round - and how wonderful that it coordinates with your "new" kitchen! The curtains are sweet too - so fresh and yet "old-fashioned-y". Good work!!
ReplyDeleteWow! Love the table topper. I was wondering how you finished the edge but answered my questions :o)
ReplyDeleteThose curtains are just to sweet and there is nothing like a new pair to bright up a kitchen. Thanks for sharing!
I can smell those muffins, mmmm.....
There's nothing like a yummy muffin to just complete the "happy place"!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the colors you've used in your kitchen, and your muffins do look gooood.... Must feel good to get so much accomplished! :o)
